IMPORTANT / BEFORE YOU TRAVEL
Passports: All travelers will need a passport valid for at least 90 days following your departure date from Peru. However, we strongly recommend traveling with 6 months validity on your passport at all times. Most destinations, including Peru, require that you have adequate un-used pages in your passport, allowing for any necessary stamps upon arrival and departure. We recommend that you have at least two free pages in Visas section of your passport before any international travel.
Visas: Peru tourist visa is not required for citizens of United States of America for a stay up to 183 days. Check with your airline in case you have connecting flights overseas as part of your journey to Peru. It may be the case that countries you pass through en route to your destination may require a separate transit visa.
While we will assist when needed, please note that passport, visa, and vaccination requirements vary from country to country and are the sole responsibility of the traveler. If you are a US resident, you may visit Travel.State.Gov for more information on passport, visa, and vaccination requirements for various countries.
Medical & Travel Insurance: Unfortunately, sometimes things happen in life which means your plans may have to change. That is why we strongly recommend taking out Travel & Medical Insurance to cover all eventualities. Contact us if you may need our assistance.
Disclaimer: Please be advised that travel in Peru in general is occasionally subject to disruptions due to circumstances beyond our control. These disruptions may affect your trip and may result in delays and changes of plans. These include but are not limited to: adverse weather conditions unannounced schedule changes in museums and other attractions’ opening times flight cancellations and delays etc. (Please refer to our booking conditions under “force majeure”). Likewise infrastructure is still limited in places so water and power shortages might occur as well as substandard service even in the best hotels. Therefore to enhance the enjoyment of your holiday Carlos Melia Luxury Travel Curator & Carlos Melia STRONGLY ADVISE you to be understanding and patient as nobody can or will be held responsible for changes to your itinerary as a result of the aforementioned.
Carlos Melia Luxury Travel Curator & Carlos Melia will be there to mitigate the hassle and rearrange activities wherever possible to suit your needs but sometimes the circumstances are beyond our control. The upside is the privilege of visiting a largely unspoiled country and region with a rich culture and delightful population.
